The British Somali Medical Association (BSMA) is the not-for-profit organisation for UK-based Somali doctors and medical students. We are dedicated to:

Supporting and empowering Somali medical students and doctors in the UK.
Widening access to medical careers within the British Somali community and other underrepresented groups.
Addressing healthcare challenges within the UK Somali community.

Since 2018, the BSMA has held highly successful events and programmes for our membership. We have :

Built a thriving network of over 300 members, connecting Somali medics nationwide.
Organised specialty webinar series, national academic conferences, and teaching programs to support career development.
Hosted high-profile events, including our Annual Gala and National Conference, to celebrate the achievements of British Somali healthcare professionals.
